Asus P4PE Motherboard Refurb For $69 @ Newegg

If no ne else replies saying they ordered one, they must've had just the one P4PE/R/L/SATA for $79, because I just bought it and now it's "out of stock".

Did anyone else order one? I actually didn't see your HD posted here Dre (great spot on your part though none the less), and I was going to come here at now 4:15a.m. and post it myself, but after I saw "no stock" on it after I ordered mine, I knew it wasn't that good of a deal if they don't have any to buy anyway. It's not like they get a lot of these refurbed and since that was it, they'll proably remove the description altogether.

I did read on one of these forums yesterday that a guy returned his to NewEgg because it wasn't the "Black Pearl" edition that he had ordered. That's probably the 1 single refurb P4PE/R/L/SATA model for $79 that they had.... and I just got it.

$79 shipped is a very hot deal/steal for this board, and even if it dies after the short 15 day return time NewEgg gives on refurbed items, Asus will guarantee it for 3 years.

Why even bother to post Newegg refurb deals?
They almost always only have 1 of each so one person buys it, deal dead.
Sorry, I just don't get it. I see people post Newegg refurbs and they're usually dead as soon as one single person decides they want to buy it.

They are all still in stock.

The really annoying part though with new egg is that the "Firewire" feature is non-existant... since this is a barebones item you don't get the port addition you need.

Because wether it's one or one dozen, it IS a hot deal. A lot of people have reported getting most, if not all the accessories at least %50 of the time with these refurb. boards. And lets say it is a bad board, return it to NewEgg and get a brand new one in it's place. Plus, I have a front access FW port on my new Chieftec case just waiting for those FW pins, regardless if the bracket comes with it or not.

Definitely a Hot Deal.

Thx for the post Dre!! I'll let ya'll know how it turns out...

That's fine if it is your bad board. I'll just RMA it and get a brand new one for the original $79 shipped that I paid. A very cool savings of $61 dollars compared to what you spent. 😀

But thanks for the message. At least I'll know what to look for...IF that's your board they sold me. I suspect it isn't though. Refurbished motherboards aren't repaired by NewEgg, so I suspect any mobo resold as "Refurbished" are probably just returns because the wrong one was sent to a customer and after opening it, NewEgg can't resell it as "new".

Either way..how can I lose on the deal? Either I get a not so or not at all used board that's fine, or a bad board I RMA for a new one...again, for the outstanding price of $79 shipped!!
