I have an Asus P4P800SE laying around, and I am soon going to purchase any were from a 2.4C to a 3.0C for it, I am stearing clear of the 31 Stage POS Prescott's for the time being. I would like to buy a 2.4C cause of the price tag, most people I have seen who have the 2.4C have gotten its FSB past 250. This would rule out any reason to purchase a 2.8C or a 3C. But I am skeptical because knowing my luck, the core wont OC worth a damn. Does any one have any experients with overclocking using the P4P800SE?

Well the P4P800xx is probably the best 865PE chipset out there. YOu should be able to make it as long as you get a decent processor. However, the 2.4Cs might be the best OC's but but performance get a 2.8C they OC nearly the same as the 2.4's only they have a higher multiplier. Make sure you get a good HSF... Thermalright with a panaflo fan is your best bet.

Good Luck

I allready have a Vantec Aeroflow. I dont want to spend a whole lot of money, so you think the 2.4C would hit frequency's as high as the 2.8C would?

I would go for the 2.8c if the price difference isn't too much. Mine is from malaysia, and even overclocked by 15% on a cheap 848p board from ecs. With a better 865pe board from msi, it overclocks by 30% or more. I use the stock Intel copper heatsink, so I can't go higher.
