i'm having problems with the on-board audio, can't seem to hear any signal coming out from the front speaker out (lime wire)... :(

Do you have a front headphone jack on your case? If so, unplug anything attached to it. If not, look at the headers for the front headphone connection. There should be two jumpers attached to the headers, otherwise you won't get any sound from the green (lime) line out jack on the back.

Like so. The "o" is a missing pin. The "|" are jumpers. If those jumpers are removed you will not get sound out of the green/lime jack on the back.

just make sure that u have connected the front audio output wires with the motherboard audio panel...

Hey, is this the board in the used system you got for cheap that you're looking to get a P4 2.4A for? If so, these boards are known to work with mobile processors, meaning you can pick up a used mobile P4 or mobile Celeron and get close to 3GHz for around $50, plus you don't need super cooling.

really?? thanks, i have no idea still... ;)

but anyway, nope this is not the one... but i still got this board from a friend and also very cheap... :)

You're welcome. Glad it was such a simple fix - saves time and money compared to an RMA.

asus would probably laugh at my ass out if i had it RMA'ed... :D
