Asus P4P 800 Deluxe BIOS-Flashing

Hi all.
I've downloaded the latest BIOS .ROM file from Asus to this board (1.019), as well as the latest AFUDOS.exe version (2.11). But in Asus' site I have encountered contradictory instructions as to the flashing of the bios: first they said "IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE EZFLASH", and then they said "Use ezflash", and stuff like that.

It all got me really confused, and I started thinking (thinking - always an obstacle...):
What if I flash the BIOS wrong? The computer I am working on is a studio-computer and I will get into trouble if I mess something up...

And if I flash the BIOS right: will the settings remain saved, or would I have to do all the settings all over again? Because I really don't know half the things in the BIOS...


Any help would be highly appreciated! 🙂
 
Being U R inexperienced, from what I C a "newbie", best to have someone who has done a BIOS Flash before. But as for your questions:
Once the BIOS is Flashed your settings on the P4P800-Deluxe will remain the same. The Asus EZFlash is performed while OnLine, just follow the instructions making sure you choose the correct Flash. That is all there is to it. My QUES is, why do U want to Flash the BIOS?
