ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe or Abit IC7 Max3 ?

I'm about ready to build a new system and would like to know wich of these 2 MB's would be best to base an Intel P-4 3.2C or 3.4C off of. ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe or Abit IC7 Max3 ?

Other components I'm considering are:
Seagate Barracuda SATA HD's (no RAID setups)
Pioneer or NEC DVD R/W DL
1 GB OCZ Dual Channel mem.
Antec P-160 or Silverstone Tenjin T-05
6800 GT Vid.

It's function is a bit of everything,but mainly looking at decent gaming performance and reliability.
I would also like recommendations on the other components i.e. brand/model #'s or even different/better choices than what I list. Thanks a bunch in advance.This forum is great!

Do you plan on overclocking at all? I assume that you're not, since you are going high-end for your CPU.

I vote for the P4C800E Deluxe, I have had both boards.

It is a royal PITA to mount and unmount the HSF on the IC7 Max3.

Both are fast and feature filled boards.

dont get the ASUS p4c800-e delux my friend has it and he has run into a lot of problems with it latly. it is top of the line but wont support dual channel for some reason all of a sudden. the ABIT IC& MAX 3 is the way to go seeing that is has like ram cooling tunnel thing on it and it supports pc like 4500 something like that ram and the p4c800 e deluxe i dont think that it does yet

well even i was thinking between these two boards but then each of them had some issue or the other and i finally decided to get this one DFI LANPARTY PRO 875B.
so far so Good for me!

it's not a ram cooling tunnel... it's active cooling for the mosfets

i will still reiterate that both are good choices...

I've had the ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe for a little over a year now and have been very happy with it. It's a great all-around board and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. I have the CPU modestly overclocked along with two 36GB Raptors in a RAID 0 array and an extra 200GB WD Caviar drive for storage.
