with the usb 2.0 and the onboard sound enabled the system locks up...SE...ME...XP............dosen't seem to matter which OS system is used...........any help would be greatly appreciated..........thankz in advance

Are you overclocking? If I have the onboard sound enabled on my P4B266 and set the FSB higher than 101 it will lock up when it goes to make any sound. I disabled the onboard sound and use a add in board for sound now.

Hmm, try putting on the 1005 BIOS if you don't have it already. Unlike many other people, I'm running onboard sound with a nice overclock (1.8A @ 2.25 GHz), with ZERO problems whatsoever in win XP/2000.

I have 1005 Bios on mine, still didn't help. No matter what I did, if I overclock I can't use the onboard sound.
