I've got a Hercules 3d Prophet 4500 64MB, which is a fully agp2.0 compliant 1.5v card... but the AGP warning light comes on and won't let me power on the system.. any ideas anybody?

doh... figured out what the problem is. my videocard only operates at agp2x and the board only supports 4x.. dammit!

hi Chungachoo,

i tried to use the exact same card in my Asus P4B266-C mobo, and the second i would put the card into the mobo, the darn reg light would pop up. as you mentioned, the computer wont budge at all. however, once i put my older geforce card in, the light goes away and the computer boots just fine.

i think it's crazy that it has to be this way, but oh well, what can you do but buy another video card.

i WAS going to settle for a radeon 8500 since compusa/bestbuy has some pretty decent prices on them after rebate... but now.. i'm leaning more towards the gf4 ti4600.. just go all out... and declare bankruptcy at the same time. 🙂

@$%!@#%@.... All the gf4 ti4600's were sold out at nearby stores, not to mention the radeon 8500's. Had to settle for a visiontek gf3 ti200. =(

I have a MSI Ultra 845 which is the same 845D chipset as the Asus P4B266 and it specifically list the KyroII as one of the video card that doesn't support.
