I don't like overclocking without knowing my exact temp. I was hoping there was some info about when Asus is going to fix this issue. This locked at 40°C thing is driving me nutz. MBM doesn't work properly either...so don't go there. 🙂
It's not a matter of MBM not supporting this board. It's a question of exactly which of the two available CPU temps sensors to use with MBM. The guy that wrote MBM seems to say to use the "Asus 2" sensor in this post.
Basically you have a choice of a temp reading taken directly from the chip sensor ("Asus 2"), or the same temp reading with about 10-14C of compensation added to it (the "Asus 2 - CUSL2" sensor). Using the "Asus 2" sensor seems to give temps in line with what other people are getting on other boards in similar circumstances. After a few weeks of sleepless nights and nail-biting it's the senor that I've come to use also.
Search Overclockers.com, HardOCP, Asusboards.com and the MBM forums for posts about this issue. You'll see some from me in there also.

I have the same problems with the P4S333. AFAIK the ASUS probe Vcore monitor does not work with any of the ASUS's own motherboards (or at least the newest models). How ironic.
