Asus P3v4x and a Delta Fan......

i heard about what a power hog the delta is. will my mobo handle the fan? or would i need the 3 to 4 pin connector? apparently the delta sucks too much electricity that it blows out the power headers on some mobos. the mobo simply cannot give out htat much power. anyone have this kinda setup?
 
Had one on my P3V4X for about 3 months no problems, BTW most of the fan header burnouts were on Abit BH6`s anyhow... 😉
 
Dang...I don't wanna use up another molex connector. I'll give it a shot connecting my delta to the mobo...kinda scared.

finally got around to putting it together...been running it for a day now..no problems. guess it only happens on the older boards.
