Asus P3B-F with P3 800?

Does anyone know if I can use the P3 800/100 with
the Asus P3B-F board? Asus website shows spec. up to 600mhz? I am having problem with my Abit BE6-II with the HighPoint chip keeps locking up and
Win98 hangs at the boot up screen. Thanks.

Be sure to get the latest BIOS update from ASUS. I don't think the original has full coppermine support. But The board will definately support that Processor. I have seen that config up and running myself.

Try updating the BIOS on your Abit board. That might help.

Thank you for the advise, Wallysaurus. I did downloaded the SH BIOS version as well as update the driver for HighPoint. It happens less
often now but it has a weird problem. Everytime, I turn on the computer, it locks up at the BIOS screen. I press the reset key then it boots up fine after that. Just weird? It doesn't happen when I do a restart though. Thank you.
