First off, let me give an extremely brief introduction. I'm an ArsTechnica member trying to find info on some specific hardware (as well as trade or buy), so I thought I'd check out your board since it is referenced quite a bit. Pretty impressive board...looks like I'll be frequenting two forums a day from here on out. Anyway, enough with all that...here's my question...

What is the highest CPU the ASUS P2B revision 1.10 motherboard can support w/o modifications? So far my research has indicated a PIII 600/512/100 kC0 (SL3JT or SL3JM). I've been told it can handle the Coppermines, but I thought only revision 1.12 or higher had the necessary voltage to handle those CPUs.

Andy Hui is the man for this. But I guess he's so sick of people asking about P2Bs. Do a search and you'll probably find one of his posts. I believe P2Bs that allow you to change voltage through the bios lets you run coppermine, and if not, the you have to run a slocket regardless of the multiplier since its locked.

Well, I tried to search before posting, but I didn't specify posts older than 45 days...thanks all, I have a lot of reading to do...

I don't think anyone needs to worry about replying on this thread anymore... :)
