Asus Nforce2 Bios?

I'm thinking of flashing my A7N8X BIOS too. I've heard you can screw up your motherboard doing that so I'm afriad to do it. What did you use to do it? The utility built into the BIOS that you use ALT + F2 to get to? Just how risky is it to flash your BIOS?

I'm pretty sure all of them say "beta" from what I've heard though. I'm thinking of using this "Uber BIOS" someone made that I heard of on some Asus nForce forum. A lot of people there were using it and seemed to like it, unlocks a lot of hidden overclock options if you want to push your hardware even higher.

I flashed it with a DOS startup disk, when it gets to the dos promt I switch disk to the one with Awdflash and the new BIOS on it. Iv'e done this many times, with numerous boards, and never a problem.

I flashed to the 1002.003 and the Bios still says BETA. I thought this one was the final.

Flashed mine too. Copied "1002.bin" to blank floppy. Used Alt+F2. Typed 1002. Took about a minute to flash.

Says REV 1017 Beta 005 TO w/ Sandra2003 and WCPUID3.1A. 😕

I only get 100,133,166 FSB. Want to get 144 FSB and 12.5 mult for 1.8 GHz w/ 1800+ TBred "A" (AIUGA). Had no probelm getting this w/ my Gigabyte GA-7VAXP rev 1.1.
