Mah...
I still don't like it... i honestly prefer real intel x520 / x540 cards, and i think they are too old for vendors to make them 4x pci-e.
Or i havent seen them come out as 4x.
My ideal setup is something like:
GPU1 -> Main gaming Display.
GPU2 - Sub display.... (im running 2.5 x 4K displays, and require the second GPU.) its .5 because my alienware aw38 is eseentially a ultrawide 4k cut in half horizontally.
16xBifuri Card with 4 x 4tb nVME's.

10GBe Intel X540
I need min 64pci-e lanes on the CPU, with a board that has 3 x physical 16x pci-e 5.0 slots.
But i am going 1 up on that for a full 128, which is why storm peak and W5-3435X are going to be my next platform i am on.
As both can handle that without a heart beat and without running the video cards at 8x
Im actually the opposite.
I'll pay for, but it better be worth it.
If i pay for a 1600 dollar gpu, it better be worth a 1600 dollar gpu... which almost never is.
But if i pay for 2000 dollar cpu, then by hell it better have all the cores and pci-e lanes i want.
And if the board is 1000 dollars, also, that board better either be made from platinum, or have rich features no other board has.
