Ok I am having alot of trouble getting my new asus board with the 9100 chip set for ati to work with windows xp home or pro i have tried two mobos different hard drives cd-roms power supplys and yes three cpus. the problem lies in the boot stage of a normal xp load-up after the mup.sys driver loads the whole system locks up but i can get into save mode fine and try to load drives but i cant go into save mode with networking support could this have something to do with the marval lan chip or the ati chipset Please help.

Man, that chipset is so new I have zero experience with it :( I can say that OS install problems I encounter are often related to faulty ram so I'd start there. I'd shoot a e-mail off to Asus and ATi's tech support and see if they have an answer for you as well. It is possible it's a driver issue I guess....

Have you tried disabling the integrated LAN in the bios, using fail-safe bios defaults, and doing the install with a barebones config? My appologies for not having chipset specific advice, I just don't know anything about it beyond reviews I've read.

I have tried all kinds of bios configs i am just going to stick with the intel 865g/gv chipsets i am starting not to care about the proformace differences b/c if i cant get it work then its just not worth it really.
