I have the ability to purchase the Asus MG279Q for 425ish shipped... one thing that concerned me was the FreeSync range.. i.e- stopping at 90. What's the point of having a 144mhz monitor when the free sync stops at 90? Is there a way to override that setting and get the full range? Is this a good deal or should I pass on it? Currently looking for used stuff, really don't want to buy new unless I have too.
 
Hmmm, I'll have to research that, I also put a bid in on a BenQ XL2730Z. Which is a better display.. the Asus or BenQ?
 
The Asus one is IPS so definitely better for everyday use and just as good for gaming if you can up the range to 60-144.
