Question asus MB with problems...help needed.

Asus (Asus Z-87A) will not start by the front panel pushbutton....only by the Directkey button which is on the motherboard. I don't see any problems.
 
It's possible that the button on the case has gone bad. Try disconnecting the front panel connector for the switch and use a screwdriver to short the pins on the motherboard.

Alternatively you can use a multimeter to test the switch.
