Asus Maximus formula...

Hi.

I am gonna purchase the Asus Maximus formula motherboard and QX9650. But the board requires a bios update to 0602 version for CPU compatibility.

I went to the forums in Asus to see about the Bios version stability. There are so many horror stories about the latest BIOS 0907 but I cant find further details on other Bios releases.

So can anyone tell me the most stable BIOS from 0602 that I can use in my mobo?

Well if you haven't bought it yet you could instead get the Maximus Extreme, designed around the X48 chip, compatible out of the box, and you get DDR3 memory, much easier to upgrade, and seeing as how you're getting the Qx9650 I don't think the price difference is going to affect you substantially, or at least hopefully it won't.
 
Actually DDR3 is kinda very expensive to import and unavailable in my location (I am in India) so is the maximus extreme.... Which is why I am going for the Maximus formula...
