ASUS M4A77 - memory compatibility

Hello,

I'm about to purchase an ASUS M4A77 mainboard and checked the RAM compatibility list on their page. It doesn't list my RAMs in there, but similar ones.
To be precise, my RAMs have the number AD2800G001GOU and the ones listed are AD2800E001GOU. Mine would run at a timing of 5-5-5-12 and the ones in the list would run at 4-4-4-12 if that matters.

Does anyone know if mine would work anyways?

Thanks a lot in advance. 🙂

My reasoning would be that if the board supports RAM with tighter timings, it would probably support RAM with looser timings from the same manufacturer. A quick google search turns up that the A-DATA Vitesta Extreme Edition - Memory - 2 GB ( 2 x 1 GB ) - DIMM 240-pin - DDR2 - 800 MHz / PC2-6400 - CL4 - 2.0 - 2.1 V - unbuffered - non-ECC
AD2800E001GOU operates at 2.0~2.1 V, whereas the A-DATA Vitesta G Series Extreme Edition - Memory - 2 GB ( 2 x 1 GB ) - DIMM 240-pin - DDR2 - 800 MHz / PC2-6400 - CL5 - 1.9 - 2.1 V - unbuffered - non-ECC
AD2800G001GOU operates at 1.9-2.1 V. Larger Voltage Range and looser timings. It will work.
