asus m2n-e MoBo question

Hey guys,
I was planning on building the rig in my sig...4 months ago. Now, with am2 out and conroe coming soon, i'm looking at building with a newer platform. I'm only going to change what I have to... the MoBo, cpu and RAM. I was thinking of the m2n-e by asus if I opt for am2, how is the board?

This board is excellent.I run an asus a8n-e/3200 cpu/1 gig xms corsair ddr/powercolor
x800gto video/pcp&c silencer 470.what a great rig it is.my neighbor wanted to build a rig just like it as he put it "its the best running computer ive ever seen".I talked him into waiting a few weeks for am2.last week he ordered a 3200 athlon/asus m2n-e/x1600 ati video/corsair ddr2 x667/pcp&c silencer 470.basically the same system i have except the am2 version.i helped him set it up and i'll tell you this asus mobo is just great.setup was a breeze and the board just plain fly's.he hasnt o/clocked much yet but will in the coming weeks.im curious to bench mine against his when he gets it clocked up to near where mine is at .the bios is great for o/clocking.the options are there to o/clock.its hard to believe his setup could be any better running than my 939 rig.IMO this is a perfect running system.honestly it never does anything wrong.I build computers for a living and this is the finest running computer ive ever built for myself.i never keep a computer for very long,6 months or so, but this computer i have no plans to get rid of anytime soon.
its o/clocked,runs cool and quiet, has sata h/drives,modified nf4 cooler, led fans, windowed case ,led lighting, copunurse temp control panel, airflow like a wind tunnel but fairly quiet.
I want to see the dfi am2 boards before i even consider building a new rig.this board is so dependable its o/clocked,runs a business 6 days a week, plays games in the evening, cool and quiet enabled, benches are so impressive.never had a blue screen or lockup.its been perfect and not too many people can say that about any computer.its as close to a perfect machine as can be.i just hope my neighbor's am2 system is as good as this system is as it was me who had him wait for am2 and build a mirror system .he wanted to build a 939 exact same as mine....here"s hoping.........

*insert obligatory Conroe plug*

But, to answer your question, Asus is always a very respectable company. I built a rig for a friend with the A8N-E (which has the longest support thread in this forum, I believe), and it works flawlessly. He hasn't overclocked yet, I'll have to show him how to do that.
Anyhow, Asus, as an overarching rule, can be depended on to make quality products and to back them up with good support and BIOS updates.

Yes I have this board, although with an XFX 7900GT card and the latest 91.xx NVidia drivers its causing some pretty serious system instability so I've had to fall back to driver release 84.21. For the most part this board is quite nice, and the HD audio codec supplied isn't bad at all, although I'm waiting for the day when motherboard manufacturers put in DDL capable on-board audio chips...

Friend got the M2n-E and he can't run his OCZ DDR2-800 memory at 800 spec has to run it at 533 before it will boot, if you get the M2N-E I would recommend the Corsair DDR2-800 memory.

Well, if you're looking to assemble a sub $1200 gaming machine (which I was), go with the OCZ S.O.E. 1 GB DDR2 800 kit... it seems to be working flawlessly and I've stress-tested it with all my favorite games so far - World of Warcraft, Bet on Soldier, Quake 3, Doom 3, Quake 4, and Battlefield 2. It seems pretty solid truth be told.

Looks like I spoke too soon... I've had to drop down to DDR2 533 myself for testing purposes... this is extremely annoying; I have no clues as to what could be causing this system instability, at least no clues to the root cause of it.
