Hi, I have a Asus Kv8 Deluxe, and have 2 sticks of 512 PC3200 Corsair TwinX Registered ram. An Athlon 64 3000. When I set up my system yesterday, it powered up but would not turn on the display screen. I tried switching the spots of the 2 ram stick between the 3 slots in different combinations.. nothing worked. The only way it turns on is if I put either one by itself. What do I have to do in the bios? I have the voltage set at 2.6

Please help!

Thanks

Here's the reply someone else recieved from Corsair about the issue with their registered ram and K8V Deluxe
My reply from Corsair:

Ed,
I am sorry but that MB and CPU will not support registered memory, please see if the reseller will let you exchange for Twinx1024-3200LL. With no "R" or "RE" in the part#.
Thank You!

Thx
The 3000+ has a single channel memory controller on-board so regardless of the number of slots in use it operates in single channel. If it runs with 1 stick in 1 slot and you can get by with 512mb then yes that is an alternative.

I wouldnt know how to run as single or double, so if single is an option, how would I do that?
..another thing.. the screen wont turn on even if I use just ONE stick in any of the blue slots, only in the yellow. I went into bios, tried to set down the speed, set cas to 2, uped the voltage to 2.8 No luck.

Thx,

If there is any way to get this ram to work here someone pls post it.

You need to get non-registered memory modules like DAPUNISHER said. You're trying to run a diesel engine on gasoline there.
