ASUS K8V SE Boot-up problem

Hi, i have a SATA hard drive hooked up to my K8V SE as the main hard drive and i added an ATA later for extra storage. However, from time to time the computer tries too boot off the unbootable ATA (and fails) and i have to go through the BIOS menu to change the boot disk. It's annoying to deal with and when it happens when other people want to use the computer they dont know what to do.

Is there a way to disable ATA detection or another way to solve this problem? thanks.

This is a known issue with the K8V SE Deluxe. However, Asus refuses to acknowledge the problem. I've been talking to a guy on here who has the same problem, and he's located several others with the same issue. You all should protest.

Edit: I built a computer for a friend last July with the K8V SE Deluxe and a Samsung 120gb SATA hd. He's never had problem. :disgust:
