what does mushkin have to do with whether a type of ram works with a particular board?? check out the anandtech FAQ to read up on registered, ecc, unbuffered, etcc

It has nothing to do with the board or the chipset. The Athlon 64 does not support Registered RAM, only unbuffered ECC or plain RAM.
Remember, the RAM controller is in the CPU now, not the motherboard.
