Asus K8N RAID problems

Ok I bought this the other day, been working on it since then. I format the drives, rebuild the raid array, delete the arrary and make a new one, Windows only saw it as a full 150gb once, then I made a new partition and now it sees two separate ones. I don't know how to make it work, so I need some help.

Asus K8N
Sempron 2600
1.5gb DDR400
2x D Caviar SE 80gb (U user striping)
9800 Pro
Windows Xp Pro

I'm lost, so anything that can assist will be of great help.

I guess that you split the array in 2, so you have 1 75 gigs that is formatted and the other one that stiull have to be initialized, and partition. In computer management (you'll find it in the config panel, under adm. tools, IIRC), go to drive manageemnt and you'll see the uninitialized partition. Follow up the step the wizard will lead you to have it showing up.

How would I do that? I've unpartitioned, deleted the array, wiped the array many times, MAH! Right now I have the drives in a spare machine (my DVD HTPC), trying to get the drives seen as an array. So frustrating.

AAARRRGGG!! I've tried everything, formatted the array on another machine then made it striped (VIA RAID tool says it was healthy) but windows says its a non usable partition and makes me re-partition it, then it shows up as 74.3gb again! Then on start-up, it hangs and asks for something to boot from.

Is this my motherboard being an asshat and borking the array or is it Windows being a bastard?

Do you use F6 to install RAID drivers at windows install?

Normally I would do so, sadly there isn't an option or even a disk installable driver. Its really weird, the array is detected and usable in my other machines, just not this one. Bah, if I can't get this up and working in an hour I'm taking it back and getting the deluxe.

take the CD that come with the mobo, use it to make a floppy and install drivers. That's all you need. That would be the same procedure with the deluxe.. and every mobo that has RAID. You can boot from the CD you get and make a floppy from there.
