Why does my processor speed keep jumping from what it's supposed to be to like 10mHz. it goes from 800 to 10 every couple seconds. i'm monitoring this with wcpuid. Where is my problem? is the motherboard bad? is that why i get really bad FPS in games and 3dmarks2k1? please help me fix this...

I dont know but it seems like a problem with the front side bus, i would try putting a different cpu in it to check it out, if you dont have another one try swapping one with a friend, then you can see if his computer does the same thing yours does.
 
i have swapped processors with another and it does do the same thing. i just flashed the bios and i think it fixed something. but now it doesn't register faster than 2mHz in wcpuid or 3dmarks2k1. but the FPS are faster. if i reinstall the OS will that fix it?
