Don't reallly get tthe noise talk. A month or so ago wheen I had everything turned off in the bedroom except the computerr while running 3 or so seperate programs I did notice the 280 fan speed kick up. Probably not the loudest its been, but I also don't normally try and use it in a noise isolation chamber either.

great deal, is there any way I can tell if this is a reference card or not? the water cooling block I'm looking @ only fits on reference cards. I'd loooove to swoop on this deal

This is their directcu line so it will not be reference. (Directcu are the asus meant to be overclocked.)

Asus doesn't really sell retail reference cards. DirectCu is basically all they offer, with TOP versions of various models and some versions with doubled VRAM.
