Online averages maybe 32fps. It'll go as high as 80fps on no action/small areas, and as low as 22 on action/large areas.

Told you it was going to be faster than you were expecting. Like I said, I could play the game ok at 1080 on high with AA off with the GT 240, so considering the 5670 is a better card you should be able to do just as well if not better. I could play crysis with everything on high or very high except for the shaders (medium) and motion blur which I set off (as well as AA of course) and was able to get around 25-30 fps as well which surprised me.

Lots of these entry level cards are more powerful than people give them credit for. You don't have to have 60 fps in order for a game to be playable. Anything around 30 is fine for the most part. The only thing you can't do with them on the more demanding games is use AA.

All i can say is wow, many of you underestimated the power of this baby, and for 50 bucks, oh damn:

This baby ran a smooth 60 fps during the entire first mission except when it got hot at the end during the car scene when it dropped to only 32. Hehe, this is rather exciting.

By the way, this is DX11.
60fps average on all high settings and 4x AA with an E8400 and 5670? I find that hard to believe because that cpu alone would stop you from averaging 60 fps. I don't even get that in DX10 with a gtx260 and E8500 at 3.8. DX11 is much harder on the gpu and cpu so I see no way possible you averaged 60fps with that.

I have it running on my E8500 @ 4Ghz with the card OC'd. Again, it didn't run 60 fps ALL the time, maybe i was exaggerating, but it ran extremely well, as high maybe 70 fps in occasions.

I'll do some screens with FPS overlay.

Ok...maybe i was exaggerating about 60fps, by a bit...maybe more than a bit, BUT!

I'm getting 32 FPS @ 1080p all high 4AA/16AF.

@900p i'm still getting as high as 54 with 4AA/16AF.
@720p i'm getting as high as 70 w/ 4AA/16AF

Still running some benchmarks.

when I lower my res, I receive basically zero improvement. at 1280x720 and 1920x1080 I average nearly the same with those same settings. with my gtx260 I am basically cpu limited even at 1920x1080 with 4x AA.

Yea, it does seem as though the CPU bottlenecks the game every now and then, i guess there is a reason they recommend quad cores for it.

Who knows, maybe DX9 doesn't play nice with this card.
oh I thought you meant Far Cry 2. holy cow even my 8600gt can average over 100 fps in the original Far Cry. yeah there must be some type of issue with ATI drivers on that one.

There has to be, the card gets 50+ FPS on 1080p with FC2.

Interestingly, i found this guide on GeForce.com about BC2. Seems like very few things except resolution actually change the performance of the game, if at all, but then again, every freaking benchmark uses a $900 i7 CPU to avoid bottlenecking

Every now and then... lol. Single player maybe... try multiplayer.

BC2 want's a highly overclocked quad core to get its frame rates up at 1080p with all the eye candy turned on (assuming you have the gfx card for it).

My minimium frame rate went from 30 to 50, when I oc'd my Q9400 from 2.66 to 3.92 with a 5850 clocked to be a little quicker than a 5870.
