Possibly. But what has that to do with this deal?

People should know what they're getting. Unfortunately Google make it harder than they need to.

Incidentally, I have this edition of the Nexus and an iPad 2 (3.5 years old), and they both work great.

I agree, people should know exactly what they're getting.

Any issues in actual useage?

I'm not generally insterested in being on the cutting edge of technology, but would rather have a quality built product that will have a long time usefulness.....

Any recommendations on an alternative in the same price range?
