I bought an Asus 9800 GT with the Glaciator setup. Do I have to install the Asus software to get the fan to work right, or can I just install only the driver from Nvidia and go with that ?
I'm asking because after installing the card, about 25% of the time the fan never starts spinning after I turn on the computer. When it does not start on its own, it will spin after I nudge it forward. Of course that won't cut it when the case is sealed up. The card actually overheated and shut down when I was installing the drivers because I did not check to see if the fan was running (and it was not).
I am thinking I need to RMA this card.
