Many Sources (see bottom) have this laptop Asus G51VX factory refurbished for $700-750.00 That is a steal for a gaming laptop. I just got mine in yesterday and I love it(I had to put Win 7 on it of course). I have no issues with it whatsoever. Also with it being a 15.6" gaming laptop its still mobile enough to take around with me to work and school. If you go any bigger than 15.6" your pretty much looking at a desktop replacement.(See end of post for 17" refurb G71 for 799.99)

FYI often refurbs are simple returns or have slight issues fixed by factory. Also if your on the fence about getting an acer (low reliability brand new) versus asus refurb, think about this. Generally most laptops make it through the first year fine, but after that is when they start dying and that's when brand new laptops like a low quality acer no longer have their warranty so your SOL if anything happens even with new laptops. SO in most cases a refurb quality brand will be better than a 1 year warranty low quality brand laptop. (or at least in my personal experience). But the choice is up to you. I purchased from buy.com, but just be warned buy.com has been known for some horrible customer service and slow shipping times, I'd reccomend paying the extra 20 bucks and going with trusty amazon.com. It only took me 5 days to get mine with free shipping (i'm on east coast), so I'm more than satisfied though, but I think I just got lucky.
