1080i is 1920*1080, but only half of the horizontal lines (540) are updated in each refresh (60hz, or 30hz for the the full frame).

i just realized that there is another drive slot for this laptop so you can have 2 HDs in this thing. I ordered another 320 GB HD to throw in since I like lots of storage.

got my drive yesterday and opened up the laptop today and mine didn't have one either. asus doesn't have it in stock either. i saw on another forum where people said they haven't been in stock for a long time.

i sent an email to asus to see if they will be getting some in. no response yet.


i didn't see any other sites that sold them except for one in Belgium, i think, and they were out of stock also.

one of the other models has a bracket that looks similar to the one for the G50 but I can't tell for sure.


seems expensive too, $18.50 for 1 bracket.
 
you think thats bad, my friend had to $40.00 for the second hard drive bracket for his HP laptop, so feel lucky you have to pay less than $20.00.
