Asus Eee PC 1000H problem

About 2 weeks ago my Eee PC 1000h started having problems powering on. When turning it on it will often power up (the fans start spinning), and will either just hang there or will shut itself back off. It also does this when coming out of hibernate in Windows as well.

It doesn't always do this, but when it does the only solution seems to be to pull the battery out, put it back in and try it again.

Any thoughts on what would be causing this or what a potential fix would be?
