Thanks. I just don't want a stock cooler with the stock card. I don't really have strong feelings about the PCB being custom but I do have strong feelings about it being VERY quiet and well cooled without the hassle of a custom liquid cooling solution that I have to implement with pump, radiator, fans, tubing, regulator etc. I'd want to keep it down to 2 slots per card as I use other slots on my motherboard.
Don't overlook the gigabyte wind force cooler. It is also a two slot design and traditionally gigabyte is good about having high end skus priced aggressively while asus directcu2 cards tends to carry a decent price premium. I imagine both will be available for the 780.
