ASUS have unveiled something quite awesome on their Facebook page, a new GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU Mini. From the name alone, it might not seem like a lot, but this GPU is a full GeForce GTX 670 and only measures in at 17cm, or 6.7 inches long.

It's about time. The 670 PCB is actually quite small in the first place, I don't know why manufacturers bother with the "extended" cooler.

I like it! Now I'm interested in building an ITX gaming rig.

I've always liked "compact" cards, never really understood the e-peen appeal of those 11" monstrosities. I would rather have a smaller card with way more case flexibility than massive OC potential as my cards trickle down from my main rig to my Wife's computer to lanboxes and smaller and smaller cases.

Its a damn shame there aren't more compact options, with the GTX670 no less. Its reference board was a shocking 6 inches long or something, manufacturers probably felt they couldn't sell such a small board for $400 dollars and so put 670 cores on 680 boards.
