I'm looking for a new mobo. I have decided on Intel PIII 700 370, Alpha PAL-35T with a Delta Black Label fan and Arctic Silver Thermal Compund, 128MB Mushkin High Perf REV2 PC133 222, IBM Deskstar 75GXP 30GB. I also have an Elsa Erazor X GeForce SDR and an Asus 50X max CD-Rom. I mainly am looking for a high quality, reliabile, and very upgradable mobo. Performance comes next. Cost is really no issue, but I don't like to throw money away on things like rambus. Also, is there any new technology to come out soon(next 9-18 months)that will not be rediculously expensive(for servers). I want a 133Mhz Bus, PC133 Ram, AGP 4X, ATA 100. I don't have to have all of this, but it would be nice. Which chipset is best? Which mobo? Is there anything better than this? Right now, I was thinking the Asus CUSL2 a few months ago and haven't been paying attention recently. Has anything else come out that even comes close to it. Where can I get this online? Does the Asus CUSL2 accept ECC memory? Thanks

I bought the CUSL2 last weekend and installed just fine, excellent, without a single hiccup. Settings are 133/100/33, voltage 1.75, 33C/91F. This is the best setting that I have experienced, keep in mind that I'm using yet the original fan that came with the retail package, I'm sure that with better cooling this baby could break the 1Ghz barrier. I love this board. I have not experienced any of the problems that people have reported in all the forums. I'm cruising very stable at 938mhz, Bios 1002, 133/100/33, voltage 1.75, 33C/91F, Pentium III 700E @ 938. Other stuff: SB Live, USRobotics 56K Fax PCI, Matrox G400 16MB, Yamaha 8424S, Plextor 40X SCSI, and Adaptec 2930 SCSI card. Honestly, I cannot ask for more.

The memory can be set as 133/133/33, and the voltage at 1.80volts, but the chip goes from 33C to 45 ~50C. I guess for that setting I should get a better fan. So, I like it at 133/100/33 for now. The memory increase is only like 28 ~ 35 MB/s.

I guess I must be one of the lucky ones, or perhaps, I followed every single installation instruction given on CUSL2.com

I bought my CUSL2

1. Install all cards except video
2. Boot using onboard video.
3. Switch from PCI to AGP in BIOS
4. Shutdown and install 3D Prophet GeForce
5. Boot using AGP card & install windows.

Awesome board, runs so stable, makes my BX6R2 looks like a fool, a fool I said!
