ASUS CUSL2-C & COM2

I have the noted motherboard in the subject-line of this post which does not have a COM 2.Yet in device manager I find that it is taking up IRQ 3 in conjunction with the memory address 2F8H. Is there a reason(s) why I should not disable COM 2 in the BIOS to free-up both that IRQ as well as that memory address?

If you have decided not to install the COM2 serial port bracket, you should disable COM2 in the BIOS.
