ASUS Crosshair Formula IV Question

Ok so I just picked up the above board. Im currently running an M4A89TD/PRO which accepts all the way up to DDR1600. I'm not yet a pro with mobo specs or talk so here's my question.

The Crosshair says it will accept up to 1333, and 1600(OC), I understand that means it has the potential to use to use higher than 1333, Im just wondering if my current GSKILL Ripjaw 1600 ram is going to work in this board at 1333 just fine? If so how difficult/dangerous is it to, what I believe has to be done, increase voltage to use the ram at 1600? Also if the ram takes itself down to 1333 is the dual channel capability still going to function or no?

Edit: Forgot to ask as well. I am planning on going up from 8GB to 16GB, if I buy another 8 of the 1600 am I going to be safe to use all 4 slots with 1600 rated DDR3?

Thanks for all the help!

Just set the ram to run in XMP mode in bios, will run @ 1600 no prob at whatever voltage its supposed to. Then (with very latest bios) make sure you set BCLK @ 100.0 (most stable), not 103 or 100.3
In prev bios I could set spread spectrum for CPU and manual set BCLK to 100.0. In newer bios if I set spread spectrum enabled cant set BCLK to 100.0. Spread spectrum enabled used to stop double post, but latest bios do not need this set to stop double post,, so I now set it disabled, and can then manual set 100.0 BCLK

Personally I never buy 1.65V 1600 RAM, only 1600 1.5V, which is just a bit more expensive.

Never ever set an option in bios you wish a certain way as auto - its a moving target that ASUS keeps changing after feedback from endusers.
