Asus A8V IDERAID setup

I receive a message similar to that posted by another user re SATA RAID problems.

My error message, at the same point as his is

txtsetup.oem encountered error 4096 on line 1747 in d:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.

As far as I am aware, I setup the RAID correctly, and the drivers are on the floppy disk as they should be, I think...

Suggestions?

Thanks-

Well.. I decided to just put the drives on my regular IDE channel to install XP. Maybe I'll put them back on the RAID channel some other time to get it working.

I got the raid setup on the motherboard with the two 60gig Maxtor drives. The problem was actually getting Windows to see the RAID and read/write to the disks. The Promise c ontroller found and configured them with no problem. It wasn't until I actually went to install Windows that there was a problem with them. I may try setting them up as a raid now...maybe they will work ok...dunno for sure.
