So whats happening with this mb? I read wesley fink had a revision2 board, but that was ages ago and ive heard nothing since...

It would appear VIA are having serious trouble trying to sort this issue.

Chipset support is the reason i went intel last time, AMD make great cpu's, but the chipsets which they leave to 3rd parties are ALWAYS buggy ;/

whats the score wes?

AGP lock, where. I falshed with 1005.21 and the lock did not stay on.

I wish I new this before I bought the board. I would have went with Nvidia's chipset.

I did OC by multiplyer, but had to crank the vcore. The processor then got 63C. Too hot for my comfort.

I hope they make a stable AGP/PCI lock in the next bios. I tried the newest beta Bios and my computer would not even boot.

Some boards have a working lock, some don't. If you have a serial number of 45MGOJ.... or higher, you should have the lock.

It works fine on my board too with the 1005.21 bios. I guess I got lucky 😉

so like what the crap, does that mean my board (I bought one of the first batch a8v's) will never be able to use agp lock, or will new bios add the feature?
