ASUS A8V deluxe, doesn't recognize CPU

We've tried 2 differnet A64 processors, and they have been installed correctly. The boot screen comes up, and then the message

"Warning: Unknown Processor Revision"
THe procesors installed in your system are of an unknown revision. Please contact your BIOS vendor for apporpriate updates.
Fatal Error... System Halted.

The thing is, I used the same mobo with my A64 3500+ Newcastle core and I had nothing of the sort show up. Another ineteresting note, the CPU is recoginzed by SOMETHING, since during boot up if you halt the boot process, it displays
"CPU: Athlon 64 3200+" However, the error message shows up right after that.

Any help would be appreciated, my friend is going bonkers.

argg. there is a simple solution to this.. new bios will definatly fix this.. I believe the problem is that it doesnt recognize venice core.
