I got this deal myself, really nice deal. The 3400+ s939s run for $269 itself on newegg.

I thought this deal was dead already, but apparently they extended it.. so go get your combo! 😀

 
I wouldn't buy anything from tigerdirect. I'v had bad experiences with them.

They were excellent 5 years ago but alot has changed.

I wouldn't trust getting that 100 dollars back anytime soon if at all.

At monarchcomputers you can get the 3200+ with that mobo and Far Cry on DVD plus 4 months of napster for 316 with no rebate worries.
 
it's simple, there is no such thing as 3400+ for S939. After 3200 there is only 3500+ and gigh end models like 3800+ m 4000+
 
so have the problems with the asus bios not recognizing the 3400+ been fixed?
cause i really need a combo deal, and this is one of the cheapest ones that i can find.
 
I just put togeather an Asus A8V and a 3500+ Winchester core processor from Newegg, no problems 🙂

(It came with Bios 1008)

um, actually, there is. it's just not available in the retail packages for some reason.. also, i've never had any problems with my cpu...
 
yea deathevil i thought the same thing. i even called onrebate to let them know...but it seems i was wrong

but ppl are still having alot of probs with them so be careful
 

I built one of these last week.Had to flash to new bios before it would start.you need to have it on a floppy and hit ALT+F2 at the right time as its booting up.You won't get any screen so you just have to guess when to do it. I think the deal is that it wasn't suppose to be a retail CPU but AMD decided to dump them out there with the $100 rebate to clear there stock.
