Asus A8V and one sata drive not detected

i want to install windows onto one sata drive plugged into sata 1

the bios and winxp will not detect the drive

can you give me the instructions to install windows onto one drive?

Thats how I did it too.

BTW it will NOT detect a SATA II harddrive! If you have a Sata II that can run in SATA 1.5 legacy mode via a jumper this is the only way you can do it. And then you will need to install drivers during the xp-cd bootup
