I recently finished building a new rig with the A8N32-SLI mobo...but when I look in the Device Manager there is something listed under "Other Devices" that says "Unknown Device"...clicking "Properties" for that item it says that the "Location" is on the PCI standard ISA bridge...and under "Device status" it says "The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28)"...

anyone know what this device is and how to fix this?...somebody advised me that it could be because I did not install the Nvidia IDE driver that came with the nForce drivers...I chose to use the Windows IDE driver instead...also I was informed that it might be because I did not install the Marvell Yukon ethenet driver from the ASUS CD...I am using the Nvidia LAN so I did not feel it was necessary to install the Yukon driver...

anyone have any suggestions/help..Thanks

That's the nVidia gigbit ethernet device. If you don't want to use it, just go into your bios and disable nic2.

I am using the Nvidia LAN...I thought LAN 1 was Nvidia and LAN 2 was Marvell...I'm currently using LAN 1 and have LAN 2 disabled in the BIOS...

do I have it all wrong?....I'm confused......

Well I was able to fix the issue...

someone on another forum told me to put the ASUS CD in the drive and wait for the popup...well I did just that and now everything is running normal again...apparently it's the AI Booster that was causing the issue

didn't even have to download/update any drivers...just put the CD in the drive and a few seconds later when I checked my Device Manager the "Unknown Device" listing was gone...

this mobo has so many little annoying quirks with it...but once everything is set up and working properly, it is an amazing board
