I am building a system that I want to overclock as much as possible tell I either hit 45C load(avg room temp, 70-75 farenheit) or it becomes unstable.

here's the system specs:
Asus a8n32-sli deluxe
opteron 170
twinx1024-3200xlpro(very tall) 4 sticks(2gb total)
2x evga 7800 gt's
hdd's floppy dvd burner, all the other bs

now here's the problem, I hear that the big typhoon hsf takes up alot of room. I was wondering if it took up the a1 dimm slot, or if it towered over it and by how far?(by tower over it, i mean to say, does it clear the top of the ram with the massive heatsink's on the ram of mine?) I have searched through google for hours now and i can't get a clear answer and no pictures

basically i would like to see some pictures of an install with an a8n32-sli and a TT big typhoon with a stick of ram, or even better a stick of pro series corsair dimm in the first slot(if possible)

Yes you will have enough clearance for memory sticks in all 4 slots with A8N32-SLI/Big Typhoon.

I have had no problem with the big typhoon and a ASUS SLI deluxe, not the same model as the sli32 but the dimm layout is the same.

check google images for an "a8n" and a a8n32" the distance is the same.
