Sounds great except for the apparently vaporware tv out module.

huh?
Normal prices. Not amazing
Faster mATX boards with PCIe x16 have been out for months. Not crazy.
Plus why waste an Opteron on this, when it won't overclock well at all? (max 240MHz FSB)
Other mATX boards will run the Opteron "right". Running my 146 at 300x10 or 3000MHz.

Not meaning to thread crap, as they "could be" nice boards with Bios updates, but not a Hot Deal or anything special.

As Anandtech stated in the review of the board:
"The Asus A8N-VM CSM did not turn out to be the ringer that we hoped for, "

And now that the Asus is in end users hands, the bug reports and flaws are starting to appear.

Despite all criticism aside, I can't think of too many mATX boards with built-in DVI. If you need a number crunching hog to do video rendering, calculations, or are making a server farm/beowulf cluster like we are at my university, I see no reason not to consider this board. Remember, not everyone overclocks their rigs, boys. ;)

The Gigabyte K8N51 PVMT 9 comes with the Svideo and HTDV component-out adapter module. Quite popular with the HDTV crowd. Much better deal, IMO.

Never been a fan of Gigabyte items myself...have had nothing but problems when I fix DIY first-timers' systems. :p What's the deal with the board not posting after you unplug the PSU? Yeah, Gigabyte just screams quality.
