judging by the pics, the xp-90 should be fine.
the xp-90 will fit on just about everything, it may look big, but the footprint is no larger than any other cooler, the fact it overhangs a good inch makes it look huge, but it's really not that big.
As mentioned above,it should fit.Thermalright's list also says the A8N is Okay even with the XP-120 which is actually bigger overall.By looking at the pic,it seems that little heatsink on the mobo is actually closer to the Socket compared to the first DIMM
I was worried about fitting the XP-120 (even bigger) on the A8N, but Thermalright says it's OK, and others have done it, so I went ahead and ordered the parts. Everything is here EXCEPT the XP-120 (arrive tmrw), so maybe I'll find out for real tmrw.
On my A8N-SLI, I have the XP-90 sort of pointing towards the back of the board. It is not over the DIMMs at all. Since the XP-90 can go on like that or with it hanging over the RAM, I wondered what was the right way when I installed it. From just eyeballing it, it looks like I would have about a quarter inch of clearance between the XP-90 and the DIMMs if I had installed it over the RAM. My DIMMS are the standard size.
