Keep us posted. If this one is tested for a few days, and seems to be good and stable and fix some issues, I'll consider it.

Any word from ASUS on what changes are in it?

Know what server it came off of? I was just on the ftp/de (Germany) and didn't see this.

Just flashed to it. It's late, so I'll look it over good in the morning, but everything appears to be running good. Hopefully this is the bios that Asus has told Maxtor will fix the NCQ problem. Results tomorrow from my rig.

This really is the BIOS to be using if you are overclocking, it's supremely good. I've hit 260/520 on the memory and finally over 2.6ghz on the CPU with relatively conservative voltages. I'm sure it's down to me learning the best settings rather than waiting for a better BIOS now.

I've still not lost my maxtors in about 6-7 reboots with 008, and the Marvel Adapter is still here too. Not a bad word to say about it thus far.

it seems i ran into a problem, upon flashing to -008, my mem timings went up a notch from their usual 2-2-2-5 and i noticed a general slowdown using the ocz ram, this is what it gave me in cpu-z, i downgraded for now considered i cant handle the system hanging like that :|

The link was working ok and I downloaded and flashed tonight just about 3 hours ago. Not OCing here just yet, but so far it seems alright.

The consensus seems to be that you still cant run 240 mhz+ at 1T timings... how many betas will Asus release before making this a reality? Nforce 3 boards can do it, right?

I also notice no change in voltage accuracy, as AI booster still reports voltages for CPU that are WAY off according to Sandra and Clockgen...

mofrack, what are your mem settings? Try setting trc =13 and trfc = 15. See if this helps, i'm curious.

flashed to the 8 and ran prime with it last night. sometime during the night it crashed and i woke up to a blue screen. ran again today with the 8, blue screened after 4 hrs. flashed back to the 6 tonight and running prime now to see if it will do it again. with the 6 and versions before i ran prime for 12 or more hours stable, this time ill let it go for longer, just to make sure it is a bios issue for me.
