Check this link out it's a UK store price etc all there,

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/..._amd_motherboards.html

How much is £159.95 in American dollars? This way I have an idea of how much it might be...

EDIT: I just found out that its $207... 🙁 Pretty expensive, but its just on the borderline, because if it were anymore than that, I prolly wouldn't get it till the price came down.

When can we order the damn nforce4 boards?!?!

I've been waiting to upgrade my comp for nearly 2 months... 🙁

I can even find the A8N-E anywhere and now I see people talking about the SLI verison is out. Somegive me place to buy either one. I just want any AMD board with PCI express.

Same here. It's driving me crazy, I been waiting so long, cant wait to play some new games. The best game my current comp can play is max payne 1..

I hear ya, wheels - I'm running a 700MHz Slot A Athlon w/384MB PC100 SDRAM and a radeon 7500 (my original SDR Geforce 256 died). Amazingly enough, though, I managed to play Max Payne 2 at 1280x1024x32, and played all the way through the game a a pretty stable framerate, I have no idea how. I can still play Warcraft III, Neverwinter nights, and Command and Conquer: Generals, too, but that's about it. I wanted to try out the world of warcraft beta, but I guess I missed out on that. Oh, well, I guess I'll have to make due with HL2, Doom3, Farcry, Rome: Total war, and all the other cool games I missed out on over the last year.

Yup, I coming from a 750MHz Slot A, 512MB PC133 and a Ti4200... lately I can't even get by with 15-20 frames/sec in most games. Rome TW was passable though. Installed Doom 3, intro cutscene ran at <15 frames/sec, "played" for 5 minutes, then uninstalled Doom 3.

If SLI isn't too much more expensive than the stock Ultra, I may go for it, even though I don't see a great use for it right now.

It could be worse 🙂

I am on a 4 1/2 year old Powerbook, and believe me, I can't run any 3D games at all. Really need the missing piece in the puzzle for my new rig: an nForce4 mb!

i used to have a Ti4200, it died twice. Not sure why, but it never seemed to sit quite right in my AGP slot, maybe that had something to do with it. Anyways, I'll go for SLI provided 1) I don't have to wait any longer than I would for an ultra 2) I don't have to give up my PCIe x1 slots and 3) There is a sub-$50 premium for it. Otherwise, that Gigabyte Ultra looks fantastic, and it will likely be the first to arrive, too.

can anyone tell me which of the two pci 16x slots is the 16x and which the 1x in single video card mode? i hope the 16x is the one next to the pci slot.

Can someone tell me are the 1x slots really any use in their location? If you are running 2 pcie vid cards with the size of their heatsinks can a 1x card even fit in there?

thats exactly why i want it to be the one next to the pci. i dont care if a pci slot is blocked as theres no need for pci anymore anyway. ill need pcie 1x tho for scsi controller hdtv card and hd audio card. i still want the sli tho cuz it looks cooler than the ultra and is only 50 bucks more.

where can we buy these nForce4 boards here in America? I CAN'T WAIT!
Would it be just a few days from now or another few weeks?

"RAID 10, and RAID 5 functions"

😵!!!! Wow, that is going to kill.

If only Nvidia had Soundstorm 2 on there then they would have the Ultimate board without question. I mean what else could you jam on there besides SCSI?

Looks like the board is still for pre-order only. The UK site says expected ETA, early December 2004....we should probably keep this link alive so as to inform those of us interested in getting one when and where they become available.

P3 733 w/ 384MB ram, ata66MB/sec 5400rpm HD(SLOW AS HELL), and Radeon 9000 pro.

I am getting the price qoute of the new computer with an Nfroce4UUltra board on tuesday!!!

HL2 here I come!

Be aware though, don't expect to see SLI make a huge jump in performance unless you turn on all the bells and whistles in your games. This setup is strictly for eye candy galore and the gaming enthusiast willing to shell out a pretty penny. Most of us have been here before, it will probably be best to wait and see some real world reviews of the board and separate hype from reality, not to mention the fact prices will drop and bios revisions released.
