WTF?!?

I'd assumed it'd been cancel'd like everone elses... Ohwell..🙂

Now I guess I need to find a 939 chip..

I called yesterday to cancel my order, but the CSR told me it was too late to cancel so guess I'll either sell mine on the Hot Deals forum or keep it for a later upgrade. And NO I won't sell it for anything less than newegg's price minus ~$20-$25😉

Can't believe it, just got email saying mine was shipped!! The suck part is that since I thought they wouldn't ship it to me, I went with Conroe instead. Now I have no use for this board, sheesh. I actually totally forgot about it.

ebay!

For you guys that are getting a board, please post your order date and time.

Also, what's the best bang for the buck chip to get? I have a A64 3200+ 754 system that's getting flakey but still works. How high do I need to go to notice a significant performance increase for video encoding and occasional games?

I'd like to know also🙂

My board came last week, haven't had a chance to install but you could "almost" sell the accessories alone for ~30 (sata/ide/USB headers). Pretty sweet deal. Thanks again OP!

Got my shipped notice today. I know the Microcenter page said this mb has a 1-year warranty (instead of the normal 3-year Asus warranty). Has it been ascertained that these boards are refurbs? There was no mention of it on the Microcenter page😕

Refurb products usually carry at most 90day warranties, unless they are direct from the manufacturer, such as Dell or ATI. I'd guess this is new... what makes you think it's refurb?

Cheap prices provide incentive for shoppers to come back and spend more money on other things that aren't discounted as much, but if they're looking and they got a good deal before they may just buy something without thinking of checking other places.

I don't think it's a refurb - just was unsure because of the 1-year warranty. These posts made it even more unclear to me:

BIGFOOTPI: hmmm... is only 1yr warranty- the other asus boards are 3yr. is this thing refurb/end of life/open box?
Seems fishy when all legit new ASUS boards are 3yr, but this cheap one is 1yr.

khurios2000: i never know asus board A8N-SLI has 1 year warranty

BIGFOOTPI
: thats a 3yr warranty board, the other is only 1yr- which means the cheap one is probably open box stock or recerts from asus
(or new stock that is so old asus will only still cover it for another year)

mine just shipped today also, Order Number » 302001. I ordered 2 also, but will be receiving 1. Now I no longer need this since I bought another socket 939 setup. Anyone want to trade a laptop for 1 of my s939 systems (I got 2, lol)?

got my ship notice for 1 (ordered 10)
still a good price...
heck- I might even take it to replace my cranky MSI sli board with Oblivion lagging Creative Live24bit sound...

Recieved shipment notification. Now what am I going to do with this thing...I didn't think it would come but cant afford new computer.

Well, I owe MicroCenter an apology...

microcenter's actually been stepping it up. They made a huge price mistake on x1800 aiw's a few months back, but they made it up to those people by selling their x800xl aiw's at a very cheap price. Now it looks like they are either honoring the price mistake of these a8n-sli deluxes, or just selling them really cheap to get attention?

I don't really like their whole online system (can't really check order status or anything like you can on newegg/chiefvalue/etc.), but phone orders are really easy.

i remember getting that email. do you remember how much they were offering the x800xl? i don't recall it being that good of a deal.

this is the first sli motherboard that came out, right? i reckon they're just clearing stock out. i'm still waiting but wouldn't be surprised if they'd need bios updates.

If you got that email, you should know it was 129.99 back in May as quoted here.

For comparison, MC is selling AIW800XL PCI-E for 119.99 + shipping
currently.
