Yes that's the one for me. And my friend was there and said they had plenty on the shelves; just like I told them there'd be. They don't want us to have this at such a low price, but don't seem to outright cancel the orders.

If you did order and they cancelled, cal the number in the email. They will get a SINGLE board on order at that price (shipping and taxes apply) for you. The item will be on back order, but they will ship (eventually) at that price.

EH

well, it WAS the deal of the month till they started shooting ship orders to backorder and pickup orders to cancelled.
So thread title needs updated...

I had two of these boards and they were great until I updated my SCSI card then my first would not boot. The replacement ASUS sent would not boot either. Tried every BIOS at the time...

Went to an MSI K8N Platinum.

Debit Card Credit Received From MICRO CENTER ONLINE COLUMBUS OH Jul. 28, 2006

Well, the debit authorization was cancelled.... so it looks like my back-order was cancelled, what a pos..

I own this motherboard. I feel I should warn you that its quality is not the best...

1) ASUS has had to replace thousands of these boards for simply being defective. My first two boards were simply defective
2) The chipset fan may develop problems and stop spinning, but ASUS will replace it for free

I heard both of these problems have been fixed for newer versions of the board. Still, it's possible that the batch they're selling for that price is part of the old batch

I will echo this. I had one of these boards in my home system and it's sitting next to me at work right now. Unstable, buggy, and noisy is how I'd describe it. I was going to RMA it but I'm not sure if I'll bother because I'll just get another A8N-SLI Deluxe in return. I love Asus boards but this board is a total POS - even at this price.

I bought an oem refurbished 1 of these a8n-sli deluxes last year from chiefvalue for ~$60 and used it for 8 months. I never had a problem with it. chipset fan was fine, and it didn't seem buggy to me.

So...did anyone else get an advertisment email from Micro Center about a $15.99 flash drive?

See, these "too good to be true" deals like this motherboard are starting to appear too common, and now they have my shipping and billing address, email, and credit card info.

Now, instead of shipping me a motherboard, they can spam deals my way and hope they hook a sale.

Screw you Micro Center...you are garbage.

Yeah...I ordered on the 23rd at ~11:25 a.m. and received no confirmation of shipping, etc. either.

If I don't get this board for this price...guess I'll wait a while and upgrade to Conroe down the road.

I called today to check the status of my order and the guy said that everyone who ordered will be getting one they are just still processing all the orders.

Technically...Microcenter says they try to fill backorders for 30 after which time they'll cancel it automatically if it doesn't come back into stock. No big deal for me either way, but thanks for the update freejack2.

I just called the 1-800 number to check on the status of the 2 I ordered (ordered 2 at about 10am that morning). The lady was very helpful and told me they expected another shipment of a8n-sli deluxes next week, so to expect mine to ship out early next week. Hope she's right =)

Well...if the status of the mobo doesn't change to "in-stock" by ~August 24 at Microcenter, I'm thinking our orders will automatically get cancelled. Microcenter indicates an out-of-stock item will remain active in their cue for 30 days and if they don't get more stock, the order is automatically cancelled. Of course Microcenter can change this at any time.
