I own this motherboard. I feel I should warn you that its quality is not the best...

1) ASUS has had to replace thousands of these boards for simply being defective. My first two boards were simply defective
2) The chipset fan may develop problems and stop spinning, but ASUS will replace it for free

I heard both of these problems have been fixed for newer versions of the board. Still, it's possible that the batch they're selling for that price is part of the old batch

Are we suppose to get some confirmation e-mail?

After I pressed accept on the order page, nothing showed up in my e-mail

Um, yeah, if anyone can tell me how to choose Alaska for a shipping destination on the Microcenter website, let me know... because it sure doesn't look like we exist as far as they're concerned. Crazy.

Thanks, I've ordered one and did local pick up. $40.38 for a nice motherboard! As I recall it was the first SLI board out and was $300! After a few weeks it dropped to about $200 and remained there for awhile.

I have this bd and it was nothing but problems since day 1, RMA'd it 3 times...I will never buy an ASUS again.

hmmm... is only 1yr warranty- the other asus boards are 3yr. is this thing refurb/end of life/open box?
Seems fishy when all legit new ASUS boards are 3yr, but this cheap one is 1yr.
..and yeah- doesnt list X2 support.
newegg doesnt list x2 support is specs either- but reviewer#2 is running a 4200x2 on it so apparently it does do x2...

4th reviewer at newegg reports these boards ship with old bioses since are old boards and you would need an old cpu to bios flash it so you can use the newer cpus on it.

.....luckily I have some old cpus... so I ordered 10 :)
I didnt do instore pickup since I dont know if my boss will be going up that way (1hr away), but I figured there was a much better chance to change a ship order that doesnt ship for at least 7 days to a pickup than a pickup(must pickup in 2 days) to a ship...
considering these are over $100 still everywhere else, we can eat the 1year warranty if a few crap after a year...

Nice job maybe ruining it for the rest of us by buying 10.

Same results here, and not just that model.
Asus has fallen far down the tubes. Will never buy from them again.
